The Advanced Women’s and Chambers Singers’ have begun rehearsing from August 29 to September 1.
“This is a way for us to prepare for the upcoming year,” Joe Eveler, the chorus director said. “I thought it’s a nice way to have a large block of time with people before the school starts.”
According to the members of the advanced choirs, they met in the chorus room and practiced on several things for about 3 hours each day.
“We worked on the district piece for the All-District audition in the fall and started preparing a piece for the 9.11 memorial service too,” junior Rebecca Klopp said.
There were also quite a lot of expectations from both the director and the members themselves.
“I hope this camp is going to help us lose out “teenage summer attitude” and get us ready to get down to business,” junior Kristen Colbert said.
Since there are only a few lower classmen in the advanced choirs, the sophomores showed their excitement as well.

“I think it’s pretty cool to be in this group as a lower classman,” sophomore Sarah Rochte said. “Since Mr. Eveler is so good and we are hitting the ground running before school even began, we all are going to be much better prepared.”
