Last year’s cafeteria vending machines were replaced after many of them broke. The new ones have many new aspects to it including new ways to pay and a larger variety of snacks.

“The new vending machines are really cool and modern, but they still do not work all of the time which is inconvenient,” Senior Paul Adams said.

Many students have been complaining about the price for a soda or chips being too much while other students feel they are paying an appropriate amount.

“A lot of people have been talking about the price change and how much it is but honestly I never noticed it,” Junior Mira Dover said.

The new payment options include debit card, apple pay, and still takes cash as well.  This gives students the opportunity to still purchase from the vending machines with any option.

“I am really glad the vending machines have more payment options, especially since I do not always bring cash to school but I have apple pay,” Senior Julia Coron said.

Although the new payment options are quite convenient for students, some so find it risky to use.

“I do not trust the security on the machines,”  Freshman Madelyn Smith said. “I feel like things could go wrong with the charge.”

The purpose of the vending machines is to get the lunch lines shorter for people to get more time to eat.

“I prefer to stand in the lunch lines since I buy a full lunch, but it definitely makes it faster to get our lunches,” Sophomore Tristan Taylor said.

Overall the new vending machines have been beneficial to the student body in that they provide for an easier way to get quick snacks with a wide variety of payment options.
